Sherry grew up in Michigan, and attended Western Michigan University and the University of Michigan. She lived for many years in northern Indiana, and it was there after a divorce that she began her career in financial services with a Midwestern brokerage firm. Having experienced a divorce and the challenges that presented, from the beginning she took an interest is helping people who were going through transitions in their life, especially women. Sherry loves what she does, and believes the knowledge she has gained through many years of experience enables her to deliver a high caliber of advice and guidance needed to help clients develop and implement a plan for their financial goals.
Sherry moved to Orlando in 1999 to be near her daughter, a graduate of Rollins College, and her family, which includes four grandsons. Being near her family has brought her much joy and happiness, and she can’t count the number of various sports games she has gone to. An extra plus to moving to Orlando is no more Chicago winters!
One of Sherry’s big interests is the performing arts, and since moving to Orlando she has been involved in supporting the wonderful arts scene available here. Opera is a special passion and she served for ten years on the Orlando Opera Board until it closed, and is now on the Board of Directors of Opera Orlando, serving as Vice President. She was a founding member of 100 Women Strong, a philanthropic organization focused on the community, and served a term as President. Sherry is an active member of her church.
