Richard B. Coloni graduated from College in 1978 with a degree in Mortuary Science. Richie joined his family as a 3rd Generation Funeral Director and co-owned the Coloni Funeral Home in New Windsor, N.Y. until it sold in1997.
For the next two years, Richie was a consultant for Foresight Analyst and was responsible for educating and assisting funeral homes in the process of Acquisitions and Mergers.
In 2000 Richie began his financial career as a Financial Advisor with Fahnestock & Company, in Newburgh, NY. His role was to assist clients in accumulating wealth while minimizing taxes.
Richie truly enjoys helping families with all their financial decisions from saving, and investing, to creating plans for wealth transfer to the next generations.
In 2003, Richie and his wife Mary-Kay moved to Debary, Florida. Within a few years, all 3 of their children Jennifer and husband William Lastowski, Traci & Dominick, joined them in Debary. He is a very proud dad and Grandfather to 2 grandsons Kayden & Michael.
Richard has always been involved with the communities in which he lived and worked. He enjoyed coaching basketball at Sacred Heart and St. Francis schools. He was chairman of numerous Golf Fund Raisers for local charities. He was Co-Chair with the responsibility of designing and erecting The Newburgh War Memorial honoring all veterans in all wars. He is a Past President of Rotary International, a former member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Council 444, and a former Board Member of St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh, NY. While living here in Debary Golf and Country Club, he has been Past Golf Chairman and Past President of The Board of Governors. Currently, he serves as the Treasurer for Gateway Center for the Arts in Debary, Florida. The Center encourages and perpetuates the production, preservation, conservation, viewing of the fine arts, and the educational support of the arts to all.
Richie, an avid Golfer, in 1998 was “Club Champion” at The Powelton Club in Newburgh, N.Y., and “The Senior Club Champion” at Debary Golf and Country Club in 2010 and 2011.
Fishing is his second love! He has enjoyed catching Salmon in Alaska to Peacock Bass in the Amazon River!
In his spare time, he enjoys quality time with his grandsons and you will often find them in his garage working on a project.
